From a different point of view

Blue eyes looking into mine with a smile so warm and pure I rub my body against the cage as she lightly touches my fur Blue eyes looking into mine I start to lick your face suddenly the door opens and I fall into your embrace Blue eyes looking into mine as we enter a bigger room I try to show you all my tricks i hope you take me home with you Blue eyes looking into mine we're leaving in your car I'm excited to see my new home I hope it isn't far Blue eyes looking into mine as you teach me how to sit I promise I'll get better I hope you still think I'm worth it Blue eyes looking into mine You've been crying for awhile I don't know who made you sad But I'll be the one to make you smile Blue eyes looking into mine as I slowly walk up the stairs I'm getting pretty old now I'm starting to get grey hairs Blue eyes looking into mine as you carry me to the car It's getting hard for me to walk Especially to someplace far Blue eyes looking into mine as I'm sitting in the front seat I usually have to sit in back This must be a "good boy treat" Blue eyes looking into mine as you pull into the parking space I was here just two weeks ago I really don't like this place Blue eyes looking into mine as the vet sits you down He says it's time to let me go You never made a sound Blue eyes looking into mine I'll never forget the day Me and you became family and I was no longer a stray Blue eyes looking into mine as you hold me one last time If there is just one thing I won't forget It's those blue eyes looking into mine
