Difficulties

Before high school, school was not a walk in the park,

from late nights to early morning study sessions.

There was not one subject I clicked with,

everything was difficult.

I felt as if I would never get it.

Starting in seventh grade things began to fit together like puzzle pieces.

I began to take pride in my own work,

I was proud to say I did it.

Studying and learning new things became pleasant,

Still to this day I appreciate the beauty of learning.

I don’t always appreciate it,

but I do know more than I ever have before.

Support from teachers and classmates makes it easier.

Having teachers that care is one thing,

but knowing for a fact your teacher cares is another.
