Digging Deeper

Seamus Heaney wrote of his admiration for his family, they are determined people- something Seamus wants to be. He knew he couldn't compete with them in their talent, but he could compete with his squat pen, sitting there, gallant. He could change the world in a different way- through writing. Writing is a tool used only for the tactful, determined, and inspiring. Writing changes and saves lives, and creates new lands and seas and everyone walks and swims in them- if they read.
