Diminishing to ashes

As the clock ticks, our educators dole out our curriculum : standards firm as bricks. We sit and wonder where the creativity went in education. The flint is almost extinct as the Fire Of Passion diminishes to ashes. Our teachers wade into the shallow end of the Lake Of Knowledge. We crave the tools to dive deeper and discover more about our world. But that is not how our society works and so we sit, curiousity diminishing as textbooks take our time and we ponder what it will take to start the revolution of thought in our institutions.
