dining hall.

love is a lot like eating:
like lovers are food splattered on a buffet,
a feast of desire,
and you're stuffing yourself full,
indulging and dining in gluttony
and their hearts crunch in between your teeth
until your stomach bursts
but you still crave more
because no one taught you how to love
or how to measure love
and when enough is enough
and you stop being someone who loves someone else and
start becoming someone who devours someone else
and
no one ever taught you how to floss heartbreak out of your teeth,

and

no one ever taught you the difference between being love-starved
and love-satiated.
