Directions I'll Never Need

The anticipation of defeat,

the ground shaking under my feet,

I try to find the right words to speak,

but all I can possibly do is sink,

down down down I go,

further into this endless hole,

no one notices my descent,

no one cares that my knowledge is spent,

try try try as I may,

I know I will never be out of this hole again.
