Disappearing Acts
I haven’t forgotten
broken promises
swift words that slither into my heart as if they were snakes
sweet kisses that felt like acid coming down
I haven’t forgotten that familiar feeling of your disappearing acts
and every time i am left pondering ….
instant replaying every memory as if my mind were sports center
Erykah lied when she uttered the words
“out of my mind just in time”
because in my mind you will always be
inhabiting a tiny cavity in my brain
and a corner in my soul
you know sometimes i use too much energy on unnecessary thoughts of you
and when i finally get over them all
here you come…
inserting more sweet nothings to fester in my mind
did you know us females create things…
things that might not have even been mentioned
words and ideas of love excite us, but in your mind its a game..
you can’t play with the mind, body, and soul of a woman..
so why did you?
I often swoon at the thought of you maybe having a thought which could possibly be a
thought of an “us”
I am not a poet so i will end awkardly by saying
that was some some fucked up shit.
