Disappointment.

Defining me as a whole-

As I stand here before you,

Waiting for the sorrow to empty my soul.

You see me as more than I am,

And you look down upon my efforts,

Defining me as a whole.

You expect too much of me.

Therefore the cause is all but lost,

Waiting for the sorrow to empty my soul.

I am sorry for not being good enough.

It is too terrible a thing to only be me,

Defining me as a whole.

I am traumatically pushed to be beyond myself.

And for this I elapse into me thoughts,

Waiting for the sorrow to empty my soul.

I wait in this sorrow,

And you hold my being between loose fingers-

Defining me as a whole,

Waiting for the sorrow to empty my soul.
