Disappointment

You tell me I have your trust

Instead you leave me here to rust

Talks of you, talks of me fall apart

Everything you thought of all falls apart

Glossed fingers sitting right across the table

Grabs from a jar all of my labels

Cracked lips and creased face all in distaste

On your tongue is disappointment a taste

Your mind up and just gone left

Like I put myself into the left

My hand is the devil now

That's just how you see it now

Your face up in your hand shoulders hunched

Tongue is twisted thoughts up in a bunch

Heat hits your face palms are sweaty, ready

Raisin' yourself you swing, stumble, unsteady

No words come out like sawdust down your throat

Mind still swimming not staying afloat

You bring out a silence eyes up in a glaze,

stuck in what I brought you to, a haze

You don't want to you couldn't

You don't want to you shouldn't

You drop off all your pride on me

Yet all you leave is your hatred of me

Glossed fingers sitting right across the table

Grabs from a jar all of my labels

Cracked lips and creased face all in distaste

On your tongue is disappointment just a taste
