A Disastrously Unconditional Love

I have been hurt OVER and OVER again, no matter who.

Never love something that can be taken away from you.

I just wanted to be the exception.

I was not, am not, and will not be good enough in your perception.

My thoughts transformed into a dark depression,

and whirled  around and around like a spinning jenny.

To you, I was just an old rusty penny

Compared to your perfect shiny dime expectation.

Oh, how I tore myself apart over that sudden realization.

Constantly asking myself "why?"

As I reminisced about the first time you said "hi."

If you would have just given me a chance

We would have let our happiness fuel our romance.

But now I am in no rush

To meet that special someone.

As of now, my heart is nothing more than mush,

After all, my life has just begun.

My happy ending is long awaited

Untill then, my personal satisfaction is to be created.
