The mind's eye of open wonder, revealing

To understand the world is to understand nothing

Through the use of knowledge accumulated in time

It all amounts to a ripple in the sand, soon to be washed with the tide

Digging for a cause I am cursed to follow

Following a stricken path of scorched land,

It all ends in a hole that never stops falling

Abyss abyss, I hear my name

The mind's eye of open wonder, revealing

To understand the world is to understand little

Through the use of knowledge accumulated in time

It all amounts to a hope burning the stars above

Digging for a cause I choose to follow

Following a broken path I am blessed to heal

It all ends with a reason that never stops saying

"I AM," I hear my name
