Discordant Mindscapes.

Do my fingertips dare to scrawl, Ink bleeding, dripping down. Unending as the sea opens it’s great maw to swallow me, the convulsions of its throat drag me deeper – I am blind – I am drowning – I am death. Adrift amid an aquamarine world – lofty bluff –desolate plains – bustling jungle scraping high – Cacophony, hello! – goodbye, I dare to say goodnight (follow me down) I can’t see, world, where are you? – too much, too soon, Synapses explode and – In the night, when dark paints illusions of quiet, My world is still. My amaryllis fingers scrawl letters blindly in the dark; I clutch my talisman words. “Find me.” I surface. Waves gently bush my hips, teasingly try to drag me down. My words anchor me for a time. I wait for discordant day.
