Discourse Between Lovers; and Reconciliation

I

Have you any comprehension?

No, I don’t need your attention

Worth is not something I lack

You

Give all you have to give

Me, I take it just to live

Worth is something that I lack

I

Cannot believe you would

Accept? What makes you think I could?

Worth is not something I lack

You

Keep on pushing me to show

Giving me what I won’t know

Worth is something that I lack

I

Need all the help that you can find me

Your constant presence in my life’s astounding

Worth is something that I lack

We

Have pulled each other from the dirt

Found ways to untie all our hurt

Worth, something we’ll never lack

Together, nothing can hold us back
