Discourses with Jonah
it's something to behold indeed
waking up with this burden on my head
waking up like one of the living dead
i can't help but cast my eyes aside
afraid to see the truth in others eyes
my sinners soul harbors fruitless lies
my hands hidden and white clenched
life set into a hellfire of shadow
look to Adam and his creation Eve
made from the ribs of a righteous male
a righteous whale
jonah lacked faith
he did not believe
how could he possibly have concieved
of the blessings to behold
in this cruel world
this unholy existance
