Disenchanted
Sleeping Beauty was truly a Beauty.
Just sleeping there
while the world around her fell apart…
She was no beast,
just a bystander in it all.
Aurora was asleep and desperate for
her prince charming.
A prince charming who needed his charm now more than ever,
for the world around them was falling apart.
History didn't sleep, it woke up and began to repeat.
It was unthinkable.
Not unthinkable, unbelievable.
And you know how it goes, sleeping beauty was left helpless.
Helpless to be the damsel in distress.
Then a young lost sister prevailed from the forest -
she fought for the palace because prince charming could only charm women.
He couldn't charm the beasts, the simple folk who were filled with hate and bigotry.
Only Aurora’s lost sister felt she has nothing to lose
and everything to gain from setting the world free.
So she did
And then she freed Aurora
And then they stepped up for they knew
that no one else would in this time of absolute turmoil
It would have been easier to ignore it all
but why
would
they
do
that
