Disheartening

why does it make me sad?

when I already know what to expect

Still, it didn’t change how I feel

Even though I know...

Yet,

I plunged head first

Into an unfathomable depth

I knew what I was doing

was preparing myself

for my own demise.

Digging my grave

and layering myself

In seeds of dismay.....
