Dishonest and Lies

Another day, another lie.
I wish that you would tell me why
You bring a pile of dishonesty.
Don’t you
see how this affects me?
How am I supposed to believe everything
You say now?
On the line I laid my heart
You grabbed it and tore it apart.
I ask myself why you do these things
When all it brings
Is pain and sorrow.
Many nights it’s just not right
Days I’ve wasted
disciplining your baby right!
Filling in the responsibility of a mother
Does that seem right?
The betrayals and lies make me
Think you don’t care.
The pain that you have put me through
Can’t be fixed by all the trust
I had in you.
If you would keep doing the things
You do that’s your life
And my life would keep moving forward.
But don’t even think about dragging
Me down in your lies.
