Disillusion
You may feel sorry
For the humans
Because you can actually see
Their pain and
Their suffering
You are human, so
You can connect with them
But when non-human animals
Are suffering, you don't know
What they feel,
We turn a blind eye
Because their pain is sealed.
We are being fed lies.
About grassy farms
And "safe" testing that does
No harm
Just because
They want us to see
What is really happening
Behind closed doors.
This cannot happen anymore!
Filter out the lies
That shield our eyes
From what is true.
Because non-human animals
Feel pain too
