Disintegrate

What's more precious and fragile?

Find me something that is worthwhile.

I guarantee that almost all you say,

It can wait till some different day.

Moments pass away, almong with fading faces,

Grasping memories like grasping sandy places.

Find me a happiness that death can't conquer.

Give me an eternal influental marker.

Don't you see our names and faces hush and fall,

Just like leaves in water at November's call.

We all will floate and disintegrate away,

Just like the heroes and friends from yesterday.

What on earth is love in such a gray world?

Where such struggles and haphazardness are untold.

Paint me an influence that shall last till the end of time,

Give me something more true than this depressing rhyme.

Spare a moment, before it becomes too late.

Love to feel loved, touch to touch, for who knows your fate.

Come love and leave with me as we take a dive,

For only coming and going leaves keep this tree alive.

This is a beautiful poem. It's very wishful but not in an overwhelming way, so the tone it sets is perfect!
