Dismal Desire

Our paths cross everyday

My heart burns when I see their face

I blame myself
most of the time

Are they at fault?

That I am not sure

But sometimes
it feels
as though
they broke me into
a million
tiny
pieces

Months have passed

I long for them

I wish they longed for me

Oh, how we long for what we cannot have.
