Dissolvable Consciousness
Collections of quickly fleeting junctures,
For your mind to experience anew,
The most crucial times in life, left in blurs,
The memory thief slyly robbing you.
Merely seconds these memories remain,
Leaving quickly, feelings lost forever,
The good times gone, replaced by aching pain,
The past, once departed, returns never.
Savor these precious moments while you can,
Whether you reminisce on lined paper,
Or a lens, taking the shot with a scan,
Ensure that life’s moments never taper.
Sad indeed, but memories need not leave,
The great times will cling to you, just believe.
