Distance
Trudging along the lonely street, Otiose and sluggish were
his feet. Removed and distant is how he seemed, Plodding on as the sun
gleamed. Into the distance he wandered on, Down the road until he was gone.
Admiring the clouds, Breathing in the wet air, Aware of the thunder that
was like a drum beating so loud, Torrential downpour was waited through
patiently in a deck chair. We waited silently for the storm to subside, but
until it did, we were content to be Excited with all the sounds of nature
and the glorious lit up sky.
