Distance


Like the sun and moon

endlessly chasing after one another

giving warmth, one moment

a piercing bone chilling cold in the next

i chase after you still

my voice reaches out,

but I am not heard

my palm stretched out,

but not taken

i impatiently wait,

for a call,

for a text,

a hello and goodbye

a good morning and goodnight

i impatiently wait,

for something that I know, 

will never come again

where once we were so close

but now...
