Distance

miles cannot break our bond
the number of cities between us will never be too large
I'd come running to have you in my arms
no matter where you are
I meet you every night in my dreams
& it's just as exciting as the first day we met
the butterflies in my stomach & your voice in my head
but shhh... that's our little secret
you've made me a promise that is very risky to keep
but we both know that patience is key
I'll repeat those words over & over to myself everyday
because you've promised to come back to me
