In Distance

Tue, 11/07/2017 - 05:37 -- krome

From island to desert

Memories are key

Eyes don’t scream greed

I trust they don’t make a fool of me

In distance I see

Deed after deed

You still listen carefully

We can still love digitally

You are not all of me

But things I lack you complete

Sharp hail storms when you speak

Make us bend at the knee

“I love you, I love you” echoes in our mouths

Your ribs cage my heart, your body is my house

We sacrifice, respect, and show honesty

It’s something we cannot measure

From island to desert
