A Distance Oceanic
Within the daunting scope
of miles between heavy sighs
and Dateline cuts, the philosophies
of our two archipelagoes
are nearer than what early
navigators once surmised.
The proximity of your windblown
visage is but the wingspan of a
seagull when I remanence of
your silhouette in contrast to the
lovelorn backdrop of saltwater skies…
The oceanic pulse bends around
our origins as a wayward inertia
cradles our most traversed words
of eventual oneness, even as they
remain adrift like in the vastness of a
rarely anticipated landfall.

Pride Ed
Hello! Just call me Pride, or Bluebird. I've been writing for a little over a decade now. I won some money here and there, and I'm in a few books of poetry. But, I still consider myself a novice when it comes to writing poetry. I learn everyday! My themes/styles/literary movements are all over the place.
