Distant

Hulu- loading on the top left side

Facing opposite directions laying on my side I cry out the pain in my eyes

He's laying on his side trying to come up with lies and accusations to deny

Meanwhile, the wall of trust and belief has crumbled into dust full of tries and dampened promises of hope

Where is my microscope I need to find out the disease

The disease to the distance

The distance between our feelings

Everything has left him and me

It is time-

Let's just stop lying to one another

It was just wasted time

But something did come from this; growth, strength and understanding

Seconds ticked into minutes

Minutes turned hours

Hours forwarded into days

Those days became months

Months fasted into years

And yet we are here

Hulu- continues

playing our favorite movie

closing my eyes holding back the memories

of the sweet touches, kisses, and laughter

I breathe out a crying sigh

and like that I realized

I get off of my side of the bed

I stand there staring

my mind lost and dizzy

I fall to my knees hands lifted to the ceiling

I should have listened to God speaking to me
