A Distant Memory

A distant face in the night.

A sweet smell of ivory.

The world seems so still.

Everyone around us disappears.

I can still feel it,

Your touch.

I can still feel your bodies embrace as you hold me.

But now,

Everyone is around.

The world is no longer still.
