Distorted Reality
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. And should I review my options and let pain ease its way into my being? Pain is... Indeed, my friend. My dearest friend. It allows me to feel, rather than feeling nothing at all. Death is infinite and life is mortality. Only the living will never know the truth until they have come to their deaths. Oh bittersweet death. Oh blissful death. The depths of your unknown wait for me and I hear them calling, but I seldom answer. I am captivated by your cold mystery. I feel the ambiance of your darkness and so in that, I become your victim. Hesitantly, I heed to your persuasion and become infatuated beyond denial. I allow your depths to override me until I no longer feel... I become numb in the presence of death lingering at my heels. Only to preserve that numbness of the moments passing, I force myself away until the feeling is no more and I am back.... In your reality.
