Distorted Reality

He was definitely not my type

So I shouldn’t want him

But I know I want to

You know, he’s kind of cute

I’d like to get to know him

We kissed then

He’s my silver knight

He says I’m so beautiful

He promises, never to hurt me

His promise fell

It’s a lie

I see him pull her into his lap

He loved me.  He loved her

Everything changed

Call it distorted reality

I’ve still got the scars

Love is overrated

I promised.  Swore.  Crossed my heart

You can turn your back.  But you can never really walk away
