Distractions

I hear the buzzing around my ears The silence gets louder when you're there I can see you fade away in the distance like a seer Trying to forget I care The distraction tastes bittersweet Satisfying me temporarily I have it on repeat Destroying myself permanently Afterwards the guilt sets in Persuading me to do things differently But I've committed too many sins To trust myself honestly In a never ending cycle The negativity latches on to me I was in denial And I'm now as transparent as the blue sea I can hear the cries I can remember the sighs But I'll never forget the good times
