Dithering Lover

Wed, 10/21/2015 - 01:21 -- mselzer

You bring me together

Then pull me apart

Make me fly with broken wings

Then curse my heart.

I wish I could express

I wish I could say

Just how much I love you

But today is not the day.

You would turn me away

And scorn the love I have to give

While I continued to pine

And lose the life I want to live.

You hold me close,

Closer than ever before

Then tell me to stay back

Because I begin to adore.

What do you want from me?

My lover, I’ll give it my all

Unless you ask me to wait

All the while you stall.

My soul cannot take it

The agonizing dithering

Please make your claims to my love

Stop my heart from withering.
