Diva Director

My voice is that of a Broadway star,

Perhaps that of Idina Menzel,

the vibrato of my frills

sometimes cause chills

down the backs of my enemies,

who glare with the coldest shrill.

My dance is that of a willow tree,

Big and breezy,

Leaves creating a canopy over all I love,

shading those close to my heart,

showering them in my dance in the breeze.

My persona is that of a Diva,

when I perform, I am the center of attention

The first to memorize my lines,

the first to know my blocking,

but I am not egotistical.

I round up my counters,

and encourage the sheepish of actors,

to project into the House like

a wolf howling to the moon.

I am the woman who

performs during all,

Come hell or high water.

The Diva who Directs

is who I am,

and I will not

change.
