I don’t understand

Why some are wealthy and

Some are poor

And others are constantly sore

What is this world?

Why are some people’s hairs curled,

And others’ straight?

Where is this universal gate?

We are all different

It’s as if we were made by accident

But if we were all the same

The world would be so lame

I guess difference is good

I’m glad we have this unlikelihood

Of being clones of each other

Otherwise it would be such a bother

To remember first names

And many surnames

For this madness to end,

Our features give us a hand to lend.

So be grateful for your face,

Your heredity and race
