Divided

Separation, segregation,

I see it all.

The unity of our country,

has began to fall.

I see stores with signs

that make many cry

and sadly this image

brings a tear to my eye.

Uproar, commotion,

I hear it all.

as if war will breakout

before nightfall.

I hear chanting and yelling,

that makes others weep.

and see the longing in their eyes

for the equality they wish to reap.
