divided harmony

we pour our hearts out on paper only to have the paper thrown away

we open our soul only to have doors shut in our faces

in a world that is skewed, we strive for an unachievable level of perfection

the doors once opened by smiles are now opened by a facade of lies

trust once granted through comraderie is now possessed through barters

with the only truth on crumpled paper, how are we expected to live harmoniously in a world divided?
