Divorce from a childs perspective

I think

Not everyone

But most

Think it's sad when a family is "broken"

That a divorce is a great struggle

a nightmare

Here is my perspetive

I was four

My brother was five

Papa hit big brother

Mama was done.

I don't blame her

It's hard to miss

What you don't remember

And rather than divorce

It's people who are hard.

My dad's a dead beat

Who barely affords (minimum) child support

Turns down promotions

And lives in a bug infested cesspool

By choice.

My mom works hard

She isn't perfect

And she knows it.

She loves us

Would do anything for us

Wants us to do our best

But understands if we struggle.

My mom says her "picker" is broken

And embraced singlehood.

While my dad blames everyone

but himself.

Sorry if you read this,

I know it sucks,

I just wanted to put down this somewhere.

But if you have anything to weigh in on the

subject I'd be happy to hear about it.
