Divorce is Often Accompanied by Depression

Find my peace of mind,

the meaning of its bind,

I keep searching through the mine

with no success I have yet to find.

Open up your eyes,

seek past all the lies,

break all of those ties

that drag you behind.

I truly wish to die

I do when I cry

it is a shame when I pry

to the lack of a goal that tried

I wish that I could be

past someone that's not me

and stare at the sea

knowing I don't have to please

Why do I contemplate

the question of my state

when I have a full plate

that sits upon my slate?

Mom, dad

there's something I must add

I was never glad

but I'm happy you fell for the act

My goal is now complete.

I am obsolete.

No longer a need to compete

for the court over me.
