Divulgence

My love, you query as to how you might see my passion.

Can you not find it among the stars?

As I gaze upon them, each echoes back to me

My love for you.

The echoes grow so that it resounds throughout the universe!

The whole universe knows the depth of my devotion,

My longing, and my disgrace when you are not with me.

Dear Star of my Life,

You tell me that you cannot find the words of my heart.

But in every angelic voice that floats upon the wind,

In your every sigh and footstep,

In every whisper between friends and lovers and confidantes,

I am there. You are there. We are together.

And I am saying over and over that I adore you.

Keeper of my heart, you want to drink in my affection.

I tell you that oceans could not contain it,

Nor the rains ever wash it away.

It is ever growing, as a tide that rushes in

And never shrinks away.

My love is in every taste of wine that soothes you,

In the waters that cool and comfort you,

In every tear falling.

Every tear falls because I love you so very much.

Because I dare to think of a life without you,

And I am suffocated.

I cannot breathe without you, for you are my oxygen.

Take me, then,

And I beg you to never tire of me.

Never doubt that your face is etched in my very soul.

I merely weep that with all that is within my heart,

I can only muster three words to voice to you:

I love you.
