Do all lives matter?
They say "All lives matter" but they don't care about mine.
I feel invisible and unheard.
I turn to my people and shout "Black power!"
The world suddenly listens and asks:
"What about all people power?"
I ask: "Where were you when I was invisible and unheard?"
The question has to be asked, do all lives matter?
London, Paris, New York and LA, same story.
Rio, they took Marielle, she was fighting them. Took my 8 year old baby sister too
Beijing, I get spat at.
Guangzhou, black babies left to survive on water.
Black brothers left roamning the streets, pregnant sisters denied care
Do all lives matter?
Black girls shamed for our lips, dehumanised for our colour
but when someone else has it, it's popular
Black boys seen as a target, for a packet of skittles, they're killed.
Everyone, quiet.
I sit back and look at my world.
Why doesn't my life matter?
My men don't love me.
My women don't love me.
I learn, to world, all lives matter but blacks.
