Do I?

Do I smile like the sun never stops shining,

Or cry with raindrops falling down my face?

Do I dance with the wind and the water,

Or remain stil as an unmoving mannequin?

Do I see the magic in the life all around us,

Or are my eyes dull and my spirit broken?

Do I care for others around me,

Or am I to absorbed in myself to care for anyone else?

Do I love like I've never been hurt,

Or do I stay sheilded behind the walls that I have built to keep others out?

Do I, do we, take enough time to notice each other and look at the real meaning

of friendship, love, and kindness?

This poem is about the things that we miss everyday in life because we don't care to pay attention to the people around us as much as we should. I would love some feedback on it.
