Do I write poetry?
Poetry can be an expression,
or it could be a confession.
Maybe of serious depression,
or maybe about the recession.
Are they really poetry,
these words that I write?
Is it really poetry,
when it causes a fight?
But I write poetry
to get the anger out.
I write poetry
when I feel like a lout.
But when my anger is discovered
by a nosy friend,
How can the feeling be recovered,
when poetry brought the end?
But still I write poetry,
to write my emotions down.
Still I must write poetry,
to get rid of my frown.
Sometimes it is happy,
sometimes it is sad.
Often it is snappy,
Sometimes it is mad.
But I cannot stop,
For I have an itch in my brain,
the poetry will just pop,
And I cannot refrain.
And so I write poetry,
If you can call it that.
I must write this poetry,
else my head won't fit my hat!!
