Do they Know?

People say I'm nice.

People say I'm quiet.

But do they know the reason why

I sit there in silence?

It's because I'm thinking

of everything that's wrong with me.

Every little flaw

and every little insecurity.

No one knows the heartache

I felt.

No one notices the silent

cry out for help.

People just assume

that I'm fine.

They don't know

I'm slowly losing my mind.

But it's ok. I'll go back to being

nice and quiet.

But now you why

I rather stay silent.
