Do You Ever Wonder?

Do you ever wonder what I thought the first time I ever saw you? I thought “Oh My Gosh, he’s hot.” And then I thought “I wonder who he is?” I couldn’t keep my eyes off of you that first day. Do you ever wonder why I said “Hello” to you for the first time? I swear, it took every ounce of my being to do it! I did it because since the first time I ever saw you I knew I loved you. Ever since that first “Hello” I knew you had to be mine. Do you ever wonder why I was so upset when I found out you loved another? I could not let myself believe that you would never love me. I knew if you already had another girl, it was hopeless for me. All bets were off. Do you ever wonder why I stopped loving you for a period of time? I had seen that you loved her more than I, so I knew there was no way. I found a new boy to smother the thought of you. It turns out that he broke my heart worse than you ever did. Do you ever wonder why I invited you to all of my concerts? I so desperately wanted you to see me – See me play so “gracefully” the songs that Mr. Larkin had taught. I was so desperately hoping that you would love me from then on. Do you ever wonder why I was so eager to see you every day? Every moment I had to live without catching a glimpse of you, I nearly died. I couldn’t stand not seeing your glittery blue-green eyes, And your perfect, sweet, gleaming face. Do you ever wonder why I cried when I found out your girlfriend had broken up with you? It was so unbearable to me to see you sad. She broke your heart into a million pieces and didn’t even care. I wanted so badly to pick up the shattered glass and put you back together again, so I could see you smile one more time. Do you ever wonder why I had one of my friends ask you if you would ever date me? I was so desperate to have you love me, I couldn’t help but force her to do it. I was so stupid and pathetic and insensitive to you. I knew you were still hurting, so why would I hurt you even more? Do you ever wonder why I was so stupid? I made so many mistakes with you, I would understand if you didn’t love me. I must have made you uncomfortable so many times, in so many ways. I thought I was being so slick, but it was totally obvious, the whole time. Do you ever wonder how often I think about you? What can I say? I think about you as often as I see my own hands. I cannot keep you out of my mind, for you are ever present there! Do you ever wonder what I must be thinking every time I see you? What I must be thinking every time I talk to you? This is what I think: My one and only love, why don’t you love me too? I’d make the sea turn inside-out if you wanted me to! I would make the stars stay up day and night if that’s what pleased you. Don’t you understand that I would give my own life for yours? Do you ever wonder?
