Do you hear what I hear
Horns are honking
People rushing
But no one ever stops
To hear the songs
The girls on the bus
Always quietly hums
And no one stops to dance
When his iPod is turned up too loud
And the surrounders can hear every note
Or the singer on the street corner
Not asking for a profit but
To listen to his thoughts before they explode
And people only sing
When their audience is a steering wheel
Or the tiles on the bathroom floor
Constantly resisting the urge
Cause they know every word
Of their favorite song when it comes on at the grocery store
But maybe if they'd bust a move
Or snap their fingers
Or lip sync all the words
They'd realize that its a much happier
A much more excited
And a much more musical world
So while there is war
And cancer and illness
All things that need our devotion
If I could change one thing
I'd let everyone embrace the music
And set the world in motion
