Do You Know?

Do you know who I am?

Do you know what I am?

Do you know that I have your eyes

and the dimples that you have close

To your spine?

Do you know that I have

Spent nights worrying about

One day seeing you and

Never knowing?

You are a complete mystery

To me

The same way I am

To you

We are blood related

And strangers in life

I know not your name

Or your story

But you don't seem

To care about

Either of mine

You chose to never

Know me

But did you ever wonder

That I might want to

Know you?

Father, you are

A part of me that

Doesn't exist

I guess I must fill

That void of

Your absence

So long, farewell

We'll never meet again
