I love you and you love me, and yet this is so painful.

Do you know how those words affect me?  

You say you love me but all I feel is heartache,

Only empty words and emotionless actions is all you can give.

Why can’t you tell I’m hurting inside?

I feel lost and alone, growing farther away from you.

Insecure, questioning if I will ever be good enough,

Body? Hair? Are looks are that matter?

I am more than a physical desire. More than mere amusement.  More than something to have at your convenience.

You are not the only one who has needs.

I hide my tears so you think everything's fine

And fake a smile so you don’t know I’m in pain.

I love you and you love me, it should be simple.

Knowing life can never bring me sorrow,

Because I’ll have you to protect me from any harm.

Accepting your faults and praising my insecurities,  

My heart will open, nightmares will fade and no longer will I stand alone.

I yearn for your smile when we're apart, waiting to be consumed by warmth

And never wanting to let go.

Nothing but overwhelming happiness flows from my heart.

I am cherished and to have someone to call mine.

Being loved selfishly while respect is always put first,
