Do you know me?
When you feel that your feelings are so heavy and want to write but can’t find the words then you’ll know me
When you want to ask for help but can’t because you fear your image and reputation will be ruined then you’ll know me
When you see me smile happy then turn away with tears then you’ll know me
When you read this and relate then you’ll know me
When you find out that my insides are nothing like my “character” in person then you’ll know me
When you find out people are shocked to read my poems and compare them to “me” then you’ll know me
When you go home and feel empty like a life without purpose then you’ll know me
When you write a poem with a lump in your throat unable to scream out them you’ll know me
When you know you’ll never actually be seen then you’ll know me
When you pause at every moment questioning your life then you’ll know me
