Do you look both ways when you cross my mind?

Do you look both ways when you cross my mind?

Do you look both ways when you cross my mind?

Am I a burden or a choice

Do I fulfill your dreams or expectations

Can I live up to your next vacation

You say you do every time

I love the thought of you

I love the love of you

I love the very concept of your existence

Many worlds have collided but we are still here

Together

But do take caution and care

My heart is rare and so is yours.

So let’s not try to hurt in confusion

Let our love not be a delusion

But a beautiful explosion

That leaves everyone lurking

Finding time to find my way back

Back to your affections

And awaiting warmth

From your breathing soul

Of acceptance

But remember my giving

Is not to be taken for granted

As I still love myself

As much as I love you
