Do you remember?

Who said they all lived happily ever after?

Cause whoever did is lying.

Oh sure the people you care about do

But what about me?

I was simply just the side character

I don't matter, I don't deserve happiness.

I am labeled for a single time in my life,

I make one mistake and I no longer matter.

In a single instant I have no rights.

I love my country, I just wanted to help her out.

The gold was for her, England would have benefitted.

Did no one notice that their leader was going to kill my man?

We had no choice but to attack, until the girl came.

I find no fault in her for liking John, it saved his life.

This must be why you remember her, but what of me?

Do you even know my name?

Or am I just the guy who lead the ship to America.

Or do you remember me as the one who wanted to kill Pocahontas.

Lies, you remember nothing but lies of me.

I love my country and my men, I protect them.

We were in a foreign place, we had to be on guard.

How was I supposed to know that I was the villain in the story.

That I was doomed from the beginning.

Victory, hero, loved.

Words I always wanted, but would never be.

These words will never be spoken of me.

You forgave her father in the end

The one who was going to kill John.

But I am the one who is placed as the greedy one.

I would have killed out of self defense

But not to make an example.

Was I wrong to call them savages?

Maybe, but did they not say the same of us.

We were both from different worlds

But you favored theirs over mine.

You are the one who picked a side

You picked the villains and the heros.

You lable based off of knowing nothing.

What if you were the real villain all along?

Putting us through terror for your enjoyment.

writting us into existence to torture us.
